The Airmec TTD 3496/900 petrol engine-driven air compressor is designed to power and operate pneumatic tools for pruning and harvesting in the agricultural sector.
It features a EURO 5 HAILIN diesel engine with 418 cc electric start capable of delivering a power of 9.6 HP. It keeps consumption low even for full working days. It has an air output capacity of 900 L per minute and it can reach a maximum pressure of 11 bar. It mounts a Chinook K28 two-stage and two-cylinder head with three side cooling manifolds
The air compressor is mounted on a balanced frame with double tank to reduce the condensate effect. This model is equipped with two tanks of 17 L each.
This model also features an engine preheating device which represents a great innovation. The problem with the automatic throttle is that, when the air compressor is first started, the engine immediately runs at full speed while the two tanks are still empty. Cold acceleration can cause problems for diesel engines. Therefore, closing the engine preheating valve prevents the automatic throttle level to be operated, allowing the engine to warm up at minimum speed for at least 2 minutes. Then, the engine preheating valve can be opened in order to let the automatic throttle lever to be operated and the air compressor to be operated.
This device allows a considerable saving on fuel, a reduction in the wear of the mechanical parts and also a decrease in exhaust emissions.
Its large pneumatic wheels and a comfortable handle facilitate transport and movement during working phases.
This petrol engine-driven air compressor supports the simultaneous use of 4 olive harvesters, up to 10 pneumatic shears and 2 pneumatic chain pruners.
