CHINOOK two-cylinder head model - K30 in cast iron
The highly professional top quality CHINOOK cylinder head is intended for heavy-duty continuous work.
The extreme durability of this cylinder head is given by several factors:
The material from which it is made. In fact, this type of cylinder head is built entirely in
cast iron, a material characterised by its excellent resistance and durability.
Two-stage cylinder head.
The very low number of the pumping unit rpm.
The presence of three cooling manifolds. There is no other motor-compressor on the market with such a capacity for cooling the pumped air.
Thanks to its high air production capacity of 900 L/min, this CHINOOK head guarantees the operation of 4 olive harvesters, 10 pruning shears or 2 pneumatic chainsaws.
Its two-stage head is equipped with two cylinders connected in series, in which the air is compressed gradually to the final pressure.
Between the stages, the compressed air is cooled. This improves efficiency, providing higher pressures than those achieved with a single-stage compressor,
making it one of the best compressor heads on the market today.
Three cooling manifolds
The CHINOOK cylinder head is the only one in its class with three cooling manifolds, two on one side and one on the other, next to the air filter.
This means that there is no other engine-driven air compressor in this category that cools the pumped air like this model.
The air intake flow cooling system is able to improve the efficiency of air compressor itself.
The air, when pumped by the compressor head, is deposited in the tank at a very high temperature.
For this reason, the more the air tends to cool, the more the condensate tends to separate and deposit itself in the bottom of the tank (which must therefore be drained at the end of each day with the appropriate valve).
The feeding of pre-cooled air from the manifolds means that condensate formation is greatly reduced.
The absence or reduced presence of humidity in the air supplying the equipment (olive harvesters, pruning shears, pneumatic chainsaws) will drastically reduce the risk of freezing inside the equipment, resulting in more efficient operation and longer life.
Belt transmission
Head operating at low RPM for exceptional durability.
Speed reduction is achieved by means of pulleys of different diameters applied to the engine and cylinder head respectively.
The degree of professionalism and more generally the life of the compressor is largely determined by the number of revolutions per minute of the head.
The lower the rpm, the longer the life of the air compressor.
Cylinder head flywheel with built-in cooling fan made entirely of CAST IRON.
Centrifugal clutch system mounted on crankshaft pulley. When the automatic throttle sends the engine to idle speed (i.e. when the tanks are full), the centrifugal clutch is deactivated by automatically stopping the crankshaft pulley, which begins to turn according to a "freewheel" system. The belt then stops rotating and the cylinder head comes to a complete stop. At this stage, consumption and cylinder head wear are practically reduced to zero.
Automatic throttle
One of the few machines on the market to be equipped with this device.
Thanks to this smart system, the engine automatically adjust its acceleration level based on the air intake of the equipment used.
When the use of equipment is interrupted, the engine will idle, and when the equipment is reactivated, the engine will accelerate just enough to guarantee the production of the air necessary for its operation.

The two tanks give the engine-driven air compressor two advantages compared to other air compressors equipped with a single tank:
a) greater air stock
b) greater air cooling and, consequently, more efficient separation of the condensation from the air that then operates the equipment (a feature reinforced by the presence of three cooling manifolds on the head).
