Black & Decker BEGAS5800-QS - Electric garden shredder - 2800W - roller with collector

This brand new Black & Decker BEGAS5800-QS garden shredder features a power output of 2800W, a 45 L collector and the possibility to cut branches of up to 4.5 cm diameter.

Thanks to its powerful induction motor, it allows constant and silent operations, and it is equipped with a powerful shredding roller: it conveniently reduces the volume of waste in the garden, which can be reused as fertiliser for plants and flowers.

In order to operate in total safety, the garden shredder is equipped with an overload cut-off switch, ensuring that the machine is free from clogs. It also features a cut-off switch that prevents the collector from being opened when the machine is operating.

Garden shredders allow reducing weeds and twigs in an easy to handle and suitable size for composting. Shredding operations also allow reducing the material decomposing time.

The wood chipper shreds and compacts wood in a very small space and the shredded material can be used to produce humus (compost) to keep your soil and plants healthy and reach in nutrients.

The Black & Decker BEGAS5800-QS garden shredder is powerful and features a high performing induction motor.

Warning: Like all wood chippers and garden shredders, it is not suited for shredding grass, leaves, pine needles, etc. (it is intended to shred branches, but it can also grind leaves, needles and others)

Garden shredders intended use:
- The wood chipper must grind only green branches and not dried ones (which would limit its shredding capacity and lead to quick deterioration of the blades);
- The branches must be preferably long, smooth and not knobby (otherwise the cutting diameter would be reduced);
- The branch cutting diameter indicated is the maximum, so it is advised not to shred larger branches. In this case it would be better to purchase a shredder with a larger branch cutting diameter;
- The cutting diameter can vary according to the amounts of wood (e.g: oak, olive, plum and peach are hardwood and can reduce the cutting capacity of the wood chipper);

The material is shredded and crushed by a slowly rotating roller with sharp blades.

• Shorter motor life (as the hammers create high stresses)
• Greater chance of breakage

• Branches have to be pushed into the hopper, whereas this model is equipped with self-feeding system.

The main body is made of alloy aluminium. Many of the garden shredders on the market feature plastic ones.
