Blue Bird Sprint B42 self-propelled lawn mower

The Blue Bird Sprint B42 lawn mower is a user friendly and high performing cutting tool.

It is equipped with a large-sized 40 L grass collector and 200 mm rear wheels mounted on ball bearings. Mulching kit included.

It is also provided with a 42 cm cutting width, shock resistant steel housing and washing joint.

This lawn mower is powered by a 146 cc BBI146 OHV (over head valve) engine and features a centralised cutting height adjustment system in 5 different positions from 25 mm to 75 mm.

This lawn mower is suitable for surfaces up to 700 s.q. m.

The BBI is an air cooled 4-stroke petrol engine with aluminium cylinder, 146 cc and a real power of 5 Hp.

It is provided with a large fuel tank, which ensures a good working autonomy thanks to the low power consumption.

The engine is easy to start thanks to its primer ignition and the handy recoil starter.

GRASS COLLECTION SYSTEM

It is equipped with a large 40 L hybrid grass collector easy to remove and empty.

It is made of reinforced double layer plastic in its upper part, which makes it sturdy and resistant.

The lower part is made of mesh. The net flexibility allows easy emptying the grass collector when full.

Convenient handle on the upper side of the grass collector in order to facilitate the collector removal.

REAR DISCHARGE SYSTEM

This system allows mowing grass without using the grass collector, discharging the grass clippings directly from the back of the lawn mower.

Simply remove the grass collector and the rear discharge system will operate automatically.

3 Cutting systems: mulching

MULCHING CUTTING SYSTEM

This system allows cutting grass without catching it inside the collector, and crushing the clippings into a fine powder before dropping them on the lawn.

Immediate conversion: you will just need to pull out the grass collector, enter the standard-supplied mulching plug, and lower the rear deflector in order to engage the mulching system.

MAIN SPECIFICATIONS OF THE MULCHING CUTTING SYSTEM:

This grass mowing system allows crushing grass clippings and dropping them on the ground. The resulting grass particles are so small, they will be barely noticeable on the lawn. This eliminates the problem of its disposal (reducing any effort and shortening the time-saving). Moreover, grass clippings will break down into nutrients and water for the lawn (grass is 80% water) and will thus ensure a perfectly balanced biological cycle. However, it is worth remembering that, to ensure the greatest mulching results, the lawn should be irrigated and the grass needs cutting at least once a week.
