CastelGarden PTX 230 HD lawn tractor with collection basket. Ideal for work in extremely large areas thanks to its 300 l collection box and 122 cm 2-blade cutting deck with 4 anti-skid wheels.

Ptx230 HD features two cutting modes:

• 300Lcollection basket, thanks to the rear lever, the basket can be flipped and emptied automatically.
• Mulching cut, thanks to the complimentary cap

The PTX 230 HD is particularly suitable for large areas, ideal for surfaces up to 6500s.q.m.

Manual height-of-cut adjustment with a single lever, the cutting height can be adjusted in 7 different positions, from a minimum of 30mm to a maximum of 90mm.

This version of the CastelGarden lawn mower is equipped with a blade activation that is not done manually but thanks to a convenient and fully electronic electromagnetic clutch system.

The CastelGarden PTX 230 HD lawn tractor is powered by a powerful Stiga ST 650 Twin petrol engine with a displacement of 635 cc and 2600 rpm.

Warning: never drive sideways on high slopes to prevent the tractor from tipping over.

This Stiga lawn tractor is powered by a Stiga St 650 Twin engine, a 635 cc displacement which develops a nominal power of 15.55 Hp at 2600 rpm.

The St 650 Twin engine is powerful, reliable and generates low noise and emissions.

It has a tank of no less than 7 litres!

1- GRASS COLLECTION SYSTEM (on standard equipment):

Brand new capacious grass collection basket, with a capacity of no less than 300 L, among the largest in its class.

Easy grass collector emptying system: is done through a very effective system, by levering the pull-out handle. Thus, it will be possible to empty the grass collector at any time while working, without any effort.

The bag can be disassembled in an instant: simply lift it upwards to remove it from its 'bridge' housing where it is housed

2- MULCHING (complimentary):

This grass mowing system allows crushing grass clippings and dropping them on the ground. The resulting grass particles are so small, they will be barely noticeable on the lawn. This eliminates the problem of its disposal (reducing any effort and time-saving). Moreover, grass clippings will break down into nutrients and water for the lawn (grass is 80% water) and will thus ensure a perfectly balanced biological cycle. However, it is worth remembering that, to ensure the greatest mulching results, the lawn should be irrigated and the grass needs cutting at least once a week. Converting the machine from a cutting system to the other one is very easy.

3- Rear discharge (not included, can be purchased separately as an accessory)

Thanks to the new 2-pedal hydrostatic transmission, riding the PTX 230 HD tractor will be easy and intuitive. Everything can be controlled simply with your right foot resting on the pedal.

The operation is very simple: all you have to do to move forward us push the pedal with your foot. The riding-on mower will move forward according to the pressure on the pedal. Simply push the other end of the pedal with your heel for moving in reverse.

The sturdy gears make the transmission hard to break. The hydrostatic transmission is, by its nature, much more modern and functional (although more expensive) compared to traditional manual gearbox. The latter model, whenever it is necessary to adjust the speed, obliges the Operator to stop, change gear (because in all the riding-on mowers with a manual or mechanical gearbox the gear change takes place when the machine is stationary), leaving the clutch and then restart at the desired speed. In case of frequent speed variations (e.g. in gardens with trees, vases or other types of obstacles) the standard gear transmission wouldn’t be practical at all. The hydrostatic transmission, on the other hand, allows immediate speed changes, without ever stopping, in absolute convenience, in a totally automatic way, simply by varying the pressure on the accelerator pedal.

The CastelGarden PTX 220 HD riding-on mower is equipped with a double blade cutting deck.

The lawn tractor is supplied with blades that are suitable for both the basket collection function and the mulching function.

The cutting deck of the lawn tractor is tilting: it adapts easily to the undulations of the ground and is equipped with 4 anti-scalp wheels Furthermore, this model features a protection which wraps up the cutting deck.

The electromagnetic blade engagement is operated via the yellow button on the right side of the steering wheel. This system avoids the manual engagement via the classic lever which many models of riding-on mowers are equipped with, and works thanks to an electromagnetic clutch that allows quick engagement of the blades.. Nothing could be easier than pressing a button.

The cutting deck height can be adjusted through a lever.

There are 7 different cutting height available, that can be ranged manually from a maximum of 90 mm to a minimum of 30 mm.

The cutting deck is equipped with a washing connection.
