The CastelGarden XC 53 HS self-propelled petrol lawn mower is designed for the most demanding consumers: powerful, reliable and versatile lawn mower.

The housing is made of galvanised steel, which prevents corrosion and rust. It is equipped with a 51 cm cutting width and powered by a Honda GCVx 170 Autochoke 4-stroke engine.

The lawn mower is also provided with a centralised cutting height adjustment in 6 different positions, from 20 mm to 80 mm and a large 60 L grass collector.

This lawn mower is equipped with a high-wheel system. The wheels, with a diameter of 200 -280 mm, are mounted on ball bearings and they are perfect for medium-sized uneven areas.

The Honda GCVx170 OHV Autochoke is a lightweight and high-performing engine, suitable for jobs requiring high power, guaranteed by the 167 cc. The high power sets this engine type on top of the Honda GCVx Series.

Equipped with a sturdy belt drive with gearbox which allows the Operator to mow the lawn without any effort, optimising the traction of the machine and the feed efficiency.

The high-wheel system guarantees an incredible manoeuvrability. The wheels are mounted on sturdy ball bearings which make them greatly long-lasting.

GRASS COLLECTION SYSTEM:

The lawn mower is equipped with a 60 L hybrid grass collector, very easy to remove and empty.

The lower part is made of plastic, which gives strength and sturdiness, avoiding the canvas to tear if in contact with the lawn.

Convenient handle placed on the upper part of the grass collector to make it easy to remove and empty when full.

REAR DISCHARGE SYSTEM:

This system allows mowing grass without using the grass collector, discharging the grass clippings directly from the back of the lawn mower.

Simply remove the grass collector and the rear discharge will automatically operate.

MULCHING CUTTING SYSTEM:

This system allows cutting grass without catching it inside the collector, and crushing the clippings into a fine powder before dropping them on the lawn.

Immediate conversion: you will just need to pull out the grass collector, enter the standard-supplied mulching plug, and lower the rear deflector in order to engage the mulching system.

MAIN SPECIFICATIONS OF THE MULCHING CUTTING SYSTEM:

This grass mowing system allows crushing grass clippings and dropping them on the ground. The resulting grass particles are so small, they will be barely noticeable on the lawn. This eliminates the problem of its disposal (reducing any effort and shortening the time-saving). Moreover, grass clippings will break down into nutrients and water for the lawn (grass is 80% water) and will thus ensure a perfectly balanced biological cycle. However, it is worth remembering that, to ensure the greatest mulching results, the lawn should be irrigated and the grass needs cutting at least once a week.

The lawn mower is equipped with 6 cutting height adjustments, from 22 mm to 80 mm.

The centralised cutting height adjustment is incredibly fast and intuitive.

Just turn the proper handle and lift the machine up to the desired height.

SIDE DISCHARGE SYSTEM:

This system allows mowing grass without collecting the clippings inside the grass collector (it is also possible to collect grass a bit higher than normal, due to the high disposal capacity of the side discharge deflector).

Leaving the mulching plug entered, in order not to occlude the rear discharge of the grass, simply lift the black cover on the housing side and enter the side deflector supplied with a simple gesture.
