Castelgarden XD 150 HD - Riding-On Mower with Side Discharge and ST 400 Engine

The CastelGarden XD 150 HD riding-on mower has been designed for cutting large quantities of grass, even unkempt or wild, and then discharging it to the side via a special deflector mounted on the cutting deck.

This type of riding-on mower is particularly suitable for large green spaces, where the overgrowth has been neglected and has grown to a considerable height.

Equipped with a powerful ST 400 Powered by Stiga engine, with a 414 cc of cubic capacity, which ensures high performance at all times.

The hydrostatic transmission makes driving this riding-on mower both practical and fun, allowing the operator to manage speed fully automatically.

98 cm wide cutting deck, with heights adjustable in 7 different positions ranging from 25 to 80 mm, depending on the conditions of the grass.

1 - SIDE DISCHARGE (supplied as standard): The grass is unloaded directly on the ground and discharged to the side of the riding-on mower. This system is indicated for large spaces, where there is no need to collect grass.

2- MULCHING CUTTING SYSTEM (optional): this system allows cutting grass without catching it inside the collector and crushing the clippings into a fine powder before dropping them on the lawn. This grass mowing system allows crushing grass clippings and dropping them on the ground.

This eliminates the problem of its disposal. Moreover, grass clippings will break down into nutrients and water for the lawn, thus ensuring a perfectly balanced biological cycle.

• However, it is worth remembering that, to ensure the greatest mulching results, the lawn should be irrigated and the grass needs cutting at least once a week.

Easy conversion: simply apply the mulching plug in the grass outlet under the deflector to operate with the mulching cutting system

Thanks to the new 2-pedal hydrostatic transmission, riding the PTX 230 HD tractor will be easy and intuitive. Everything can be controlled simply with your right foot resting on the pedal.

The operation is very simple: all you have to do to move forward us push the pedal with your foot. The riding-on mower will move forward according to the pressure on the pedal. Simply push the other end of the pedal with your heel for moving in reverse.

The sturdy gears make the transmission hard to break. The hydrostatic transmission is, by its nature, much more modern and functional (although more expensive) compared to traditional manual gearbox. The latter model, whenever it is necessary to adjust the speed, obliges the Operator to stop, change gear (because in all the riding-on mowers with a manual or mechanical gearbox the gear change takes place when the machine is stationary), leaving the clutch and then restart at the desired speed. In case of frequent speed variations (e.g. in gardens with trees, vases or other types of obstacles) the standard gear transmission wouldn’t be practical at all. The hydrostatic transmission, on the other hand, allows immediate speed changes, without ever stopping, in absolute convenience, in a totally automatic way, simply by varying the pressure on the accelerator pedal.

The XD 150 HD riding-on mower mounts a 98 cm cutting deck, with double mulching blades, which performs clean, precise and smooth cutting.
