Thanks to the new hydrostatic 2-pedal gearbox, driving the CastelGarden riding-on mower will be easy and intuitive. Everything can be controlled simply with your right foot resting on the pedal.

Easy operation: just push the pedal with the tip of your foot to move forward. The riding-on mower will move forward according to the pressure on the pedal. Simply push the other end of the pedal with your heel for moving in reverse.

Sturdy gears make the gearbox difficult to break. The hydrostatic transmission is by far the most modern and functional (although more expensive) compared to standard manual transmission gears. The latter model, whenever it is necessary to adjust the speed, obliges the Operator to stop, change gear (because in all the riding-on mowers with a manual or mechanical gearbox the gear change takes place when the machine is stationary), leaving the clutch and then restart at the desired speed. In case of frequent speed variations (e.g. in gardens with trees, vases or other types of obstacles) the standard gear transmission wouldn’t be practical at all. The hydrostatic transmission, on the other hand, allows immediate speed changes, without ever stopping, in absolute convenience, in a totally automatic way, simply by varying the pressure on the accelerator pedal.

1- SIDE DISCHARGE: this is the most traditional cutting system, which allows cutting the grass without collecting it into the grass collector. This system is recommended for those who don’t need to collect clippings. It is particularly suitable for mowing operations in large areas with high and thick grass.

2- MULCHING: (already fitted): this cutting system shreds the cut grass leaving it on the lawn, crushing it to such an extent that it looks almost as if it has been collected. This eliminates the problem of its disposal (reducing any effort and time-saving). Moreover, grass clippings will break down into nutrients and water for the lawn (grass is 80% water) and will thus ensure a perfectly balanced biological cycle. However, it is worth remembering that, to ensure the greatest mulching results, the lawn should be irrigated, and the grass needs cutting at least once a week.
Converting the machine from a cutting system to the other one is very easy: simply remove the rear deflector to operate with the side discharge. Just unscrew the proper screw on the deflector to remove it.

The 50:50 articulated steering ensures that the rear wheels follow exactly the path of the front wheels.

The result is precise manoeuvring without the turning radius and uncut areas being left behind while rotating around its own axis. Thus, this is the only riding-on mower that can drive around obstacles such as trees, pots, etc. without leaving any uncut area.
