The Castellari Tornado TP C V3 180/240 is the harvester made for all types of olives and trees, with no difference between olive trees prepared for mechanisation, i.e. well pruned, or thick, in flat or hilly cultivations.

Designed to adapt to any working situation, it guarantees maximum results with absolute respect for the integrity of the plant and the fruit.

The Tornado harvester is the most effective; it is by far the machine with the highest hourly harvesting capacity.

Unlike all harvesters on the market, there is no specific technique of use for the Tornado.

It can be used with a comb on well pruned and sparsely planted plants.

On the other hand, it can be inserted and extracted repeatedly from the foliage in unpruned and very dense plants (which do not allow the machines to comb through)

The carbon rakes move by performing 1150 elliptical rotations per minute each, with direction opposite each other.

This results in 2 counter-rotating elliptical motions of cycles 1150 + 1150

This is undoubtedly the most advanced and refined system in the field of olive harvesting machines.

The benefits are outstanding:

• greater knocking capacity of each individual tine, i.e. more than 50 per cent higher harvesting capacity
• almost non-existent twig breaks (while the only horizontal right-left movement of the competition being very violent creates the detachment of many twigs)
• drastically reduced vibrations (thanks to the 2 counter-rotating motions that counterbalance each other, lowering the vibration level)
• greater range of action of the 2 rakes.

In fact, as they rotate they alternately approach and recede at high speed, reaching a considerable distance from each other in the receding phase, thanks also to the exceptional length of the teeth themselves. This reduces the frequency of moving the rakes and repositioning them within the canopy

For this reason, it differs significantly from all other manufacturers on the market today who use carbon tine technology on their harvesters. In fact, all manufacturers still implement the old system with simple left-right lateral horizontal movement.

ENGINE PLACED AT THE BOTTOM OF THE AUCTION

It gives this harvester exceptional balance, which translates into less fatigue during use.

On the other hand, 99% of the harvesters on the market today still mount the engine on the head, adjacent to the rakes, a simpler and cheaper solution (because it is more banal in its mechanical construction), but one that makes the harvester extremely unbalanced in terms of weight and very tiring to use.

Therefore, when choosing a harvester, it is wrong to consider only the total weight because it is misleading in assessing the comfort of use, especially for those harvesters that have the engine in the head and therefore have 80 per cent of their weight concentrated there. Comfort of use comes from balancing the weights and not from the total weight: mounting the motor at the bottom of the rod helps to achieve this balance.

The head of this harvester is extremely light The first electric harvester in the world to have a head that weighs as much as pneumatic compressed air harvesters (which until now were lighter). The head weight of the harvesters that can still be found on the market today with the motor mounted on the head is around 1500 to 1800 grams. Whatever brand they are, good or bad.

It has 3 different lengths of carbon rod, designed to optimise olive harvesting. In particular, the head mounts:

• 3 x 33 cm rods

SUPER-POWERFUL motor: the most powerful electric motor. It can drive the two rakes (which have very long tines), each with an oscillating motion of no less than 1150 cycles + 1150 cycles.

No use has been made of 'eccentrics', 'spiders' or 'connecting rods', i.e. all those mechanical systems that are prone to easy deterioration and require continuous maintenance.

Furthermore, the Tornado harvester is maintenance-free!
