As the name suggests, the destoners are designed to easily stone a large quantity of fruit, e.g. cherries, plums and apricots, so that the pulp can be extracted.
The electric destoners are equipped with a built-in electric motor that activates all the machine's mechanisms. These guide the product through the rollers to perform a first crushing.

How they work

Their functioning is very easy:

  • The first step is to take the fruit into the internal rollers, which perform an initial crushing;
  • Afterwards, the fruit arrives at the separating basket, where a fin beater separates the pulp and juices from the centre of the fruit, leaving the stones to the side.

This is possible thanks to the machine's sturdy construction and internal parts made of high quality steel.

The main components

Let's now see which are the main components of a destoner:

  • The first element is the hopper, where you need to insert the fruit to be processed;
  • Inside the hopper you will find the counter-rotating rollers, which perform preliminary processing of the fruit and crush it coarsely;
  • Once crushed, the fruit comes to the separating basket which starts to separate the pulp from the juice, thanks to a enamelled steel rotor with integrated fins along its entire length to separate the inner stones from the fruit pulp.

The electric motor

The electric induction motor is supported by a belt drive, which not only performs a sort of friction effect for the machine, but also transmits the rotary motion from the motor itself to the rollers and rotor.
The transmission is protected by a special side casing that hides it and protects it from knocks or jams.
The electric motor, on the other hand, drives all the mechanisms of the machine, from the agitator to the rollers and the gears that crush the fruit.
