Thanks to this wood pellet machine, you can produce pellet at home whenever you need!

This machine will enable you to recycle the wood chips produced by your garden shredder in an extremely profitable way: You’ll be able to easily produce a high-quality energy-efficient fuel.

The GeoTech wood pellet machine with petrol engine is petrol-powered and features 7 Hp. This allows producing pellets even when electricity main is no available.

A die featuring 6 mm holes is included in the package.

ATTENTION: the pellet machine must be fed with small-sized wood chips produced by a garden shredder. We therefore recommend a wood chipper with an interchangeable sieve in the discharge chute that allows sufficiently small wood chips, as well as sufficiently similar and regular sizes (the Ceccato Tritone and Tritone Maxi models, or the AgriEuro 7 Hp and 15 Hp garden shredders have been tested and are therefore fully compatible with this need).

How to make pellet at home?

First wood shredding: the first thing to do is to shred the wood coarsely with the garden shredder without using any sieve.
Second wood shredding: Re-enter the wood chips into the garden shredder. Use the sieve most suitable to your needs according to the garden shredder model in order to reduce the wood chips size for allowing the pellet machine to process it.
Since the wood to be shredded must be green, it will be necessary to let it dry before entering it into the wood pellet machine. Note that the optimum moisture content for pellets that do not crumble is between 10 and 14%.
Once the wood chips have been dried, simply enter them into the hopper of the pellet mill to finally turn them into pellets.

It is recommended to check that no material (such as plastic or metal) except wood chips is entered into the machine). Results may change depending on the type of wood and the wood chips drying level.

It is necessary for the Operator to be present at all times during the pellet production process in order to continuously feed the machine with wood chips.

Examples of garden shredders suitable for the production of wood chips for pellet mills: these machines can be equipped with a 8 mm or 10 mm chopping sieve, depending on the model, to reduce the wood chips to the right size for the pellet mill.

CAUTION Wood shavings or sawdust are not suitable for processing into pellets, as the length exceeds the size that can be processed by the pellet mill and the thickness is less than the minimum required. The only suitable material are the wood chips produces by a garden shredder as stated above.

Technical features

The wood pellet machine, i.e. the machine that extrudes the pellets, features a flat rotating die with a 150 mm diameter. A pair of rollers equipped with 2 bearings each ensures pressing the wood chips. The pressing rollers are powered by a 7 Hp petrol engine.

The wood chips must be entered from the upper feeding hopper.

The pellet produced is discharged through the discharge chute.

The pellet mill's hourly output varies between 35 and 65 Kg and produces a pellet (thanks to the included die) with a diameter of 6 mm and a length of 25 to 35 mm.

Thanks to the possibility of changing the die, it is possible to produce pellet with different diameters ( 4 - 6 - 8 mm).
