GeoTech Pro DGP8500SE-3 - 6 kW Wheeled Silenced Diesel Power Generator with AVR - DC 5.5 kW Full-Power + Three-phase ATS

GeoTech Pro DGP 8000SE-3 Full power three-phase silent diesel generator is a semi-professional product, intended for private use. It is specifically suitable to be installed in proximity to residential areas and public buildings thanks to the soundproofing enclosures and to its residential silencer.

GeoTech DGP 8000SE-3 is able to generate three-phase electric power up to 6.0 kW Max power output.

GeoTech Pro diesel generator features a number of main characteristics. It is possible to describe these as follows:

• Electric key start.
• AVR card: it allows an automatic output voltage regulation always maintaining it constant even in case of sudden changes in load.
• 1 socket with Schuko 16 A power outlet
• 1 power outlet with single-phase industrial power outlet 32A
• 1 power outlet with three-phase industrial power outlet 16 A

The generator comes provided with its external single-phase ATS panel, which allows starting the unit automatically whenever essential supplies have to be maintained and there is no production of electric power.

This generator model is equipped with new FULL-POWER system, which ensures the same three-phase and single-phase power output differently from the standard generators, which allow generating single-phase power that is 1/3 reduced compared to the three-phase power output.

The generator is not designed for energy production, charging or maintaining batteries for the photovoltaic or solar panels systems (or similar); this can seriously damage the generator.

WARNING: all these models of generators that do not belong to the PROFESSIONAL series (considering the product level evaluation used by our website) are not intended for more than 3-4 hours continuous work in order not to reduce the alternator durability as well as that of one of the other machine components due to the unit overheating or wear. As regards a home or intensive use of these generators, it is important to follow the indications mentioned above. In all these conditions, we highly recommend focusing the attention on the purchase of generators renowned as PROFESSIONAL by the product level classification made in our website.

The ATS (Automatic Transfer Switch) panel has to be connected both to the electric utility and to the generator.

It allows providing electric power automatically in case of power interruptions.

The ATS device specifically reveals its functionality whenever an electric utility outage occurs: indeed, it is able to prevent serious effects to people as well as economic damage that can be caused in these particular situations.

We highly recommend considering the assistance of an electrician to connect the ATS PANEL to your home electrical utility.

DGP 8000SE-3 is known to be a silent generator: indeed, all the noise emissions are considerably reduced with 97 dBA sound intensity.

This last feature allows using the unit in proximity to public buildings and residential areas.

The alternator of this GeoTech Pro generator consists of a copper case.

This unit is also equipped with AVR card that allows an automatic output voltage regulation, always maintaining it constant even in case of sudden changes in load.

The generator door panel can be opened. This particular feature represents one of the main innovations that has been introduced by GeoTech Pro for this generator series.

It allows easy access to the tank and it is also used to reach the engine upper part making easier in this way all the inspection and maintenance procedures compared to all the other models which do not feature this characteristic.

It is fully coated with soundproof materials.

This panel is also equipped with pneumatic piston which has been specifically designed to avoid the panel accidental shutting.

The control panel of this generator features a number of different functions.

• Engine electric key start.
• Digital voltmeter, which allows controlling and measuring the output voltage.
• Light indicators: power switch button and oil pressure warning light.
• Safety stop button: it acts as further switch button, which is able to shut off the electric power generated by the unit.
• Power switch button.
• The generator we are focusing on is also equipped with battery charger, suitable to power all the 12 volts batteries forcing electric current through it. WARNING: this battery charger does not allow powering all the 12 volts electronic device since we are dealing with a standard recharger.
• 1 Three-phase industrial power outlet

• 1 Schuko power outlet
• Provided with earth grounded cable
• ATS socket due to the possibility to provide the unit with ATS connection.

The generator is also equipped with a high-capacity fuel tank made of steel, which allows the generator running for a long period of time. It consists of a fuel level gauge, specifically used to check and inspect the level of fuel contained in the tank.

It is also fitted with side handles, which allows its easy manoeuvring and transport.

The best criteria is to pinpoint first which are the instruments we need to power with the generator and, consequently perform a simple calculation, as explained below, to identify the needed power that the generator need to eject.

The starting coefficient is a fundamental characteristic of any instrument which works with electric current because it indicates how much the consumption of the object increases. Therefore, this is needed to concretely determine how many WATT are necessary during the start up operations.

Example: Compressor (1500 Watt ) X Starting coefficient (2) = 3000 Watt Hence you should orientate towards a generator which has a WATT power equal or superior to the result (*)

WARNING: the chart is purely indicative. Thanks to the formula above you can easily calculate the power a generator should deliver to connect and start some specific products and select the model of generator which best suits your needs.

• The generator can be exclusively used to power single electrical appliances (with respect to the produced KW power in relation to the absorption during the starting phase that must be lower than the power supplied by the generator).

• The generator can be used to power household device in emergency conditions (no current service provided by the domestic household), exclusively on the models that are specifically provided with ATS (Automatic Transfer Switch) device (specifically designed for this purpose and provided with connecting systems to your household electrical power).

• The generator was NOT designed for PROFESSIONAL use, it is therefore apt for occasional use (not frequent). The working sessions must no be over 3-4 continuous hours (which would cause the alternator to overheat and wear, especially in its internal components rotor and stator) If you need a generator for frequent use (for example once a week), the user should look towards another type of generator, specifically intended for a frequent use and precisely a PROFESSIONAL or even INDUSTRIAL quality-level generator (that is not provided with a standard 3000 rpm alternator as this models is, but one which is designed with a professional alternator with low speed; 1500 rpm - with liquid-cooled engine and alternator - which have a level of specific characteristic and price point very different from this model’s);

The generator is not designed to be installed in photovoltaic or solar energy systems for energy production nor for the recharging or maintenance of batteries of these specific or other electric systems. Indeed, it may damage seriously the generator on its internal components (alternator, engine and electrical component). Each photovoltaic system requires a generator for INDUSTRIAL use (not for domestic use as this present model), specifically designed and manufactured for this purpose. WE DO NOT PROVIDE WARRANTY on generators connected to photovoltaic systems, as this entails an IMPROPER USE OF THE UNIT.
