GreenBay GB-WDC 120 BSE petrol garden shredder allows reducing weeds and twigs to a size that is easy to handle and suitable for composting. The small size of the wood chips also reduces the time required to decompose.

The machine is equipped with a large steel hopper, which can process even very bulky branches and leaves without pre-shredding them. Also, its large capacity allows entering large amounts of material at a time.

Warning: Like all wood chippers and garden shredders, it is not suitable for shredding grass, leaves, pine needles, etc. (it is intended to shred branches, but it can also grind leaves, needles and other vegetation attached to them)

Intended use for garden shredders:
- The shredder must grind only green branches and not dry ones (which would limit its shredding capacity and lead to rapid deterioration of the blades);
- The branches must be preferably long, smooth and not knotty (otherwise the cutting diameter would be reduced);
- The branch cutting diameter indicated is the maximum, so it is advised not to shred larger branches. In this case, it would be better to purchase a shredder with a larger branch cutting diameter;
- The cutting diameter can vary according to wood type (e.g: oak, olive, plum and peach are hard woods and can reduce the cutting capacity of garden shredders)

The garden shredder has a powerful Briggs & Stratton XR 13.5 4-stroke air-cooled 420 cc engine, with overhead valves and aluminium cylinder.

WARNING: if you use it at less than full speed, the shredder won’t be able to grind large branches and perform a high-quality grinding, as well as having several problems.
- Lowering of engine speed or switching off during use;
- rapid deterioration of drive belts between engine and rotor;
- damage to the centrifugal clutch which, if the engine is not at maximum speed, does not fully expand, leading the engine to wear out and irreparably damaging it;

This is one of the few machines of this category with intermediate double belt drive transmission

This feature gives high sturdiness to the unit, protecting both the engine and all the shredding system from every possible internal shock or kickback.

SAFETY DEVICE: it is possible to use the device placed around the hopper. In case of emergency it is possible to make a slight pressure with the hand on the device to immediately stop the garden shredder.

The cutting system consists of:

• 2 cutting blades, which are mounted on a swivelling steel plate placed at the end of the hopper.

Equipped with large and sturdy shredding chamber. Its rounded shape ensures great productivity and long durability of the cutting system.

The discharge chute of this garden shredder rotates 360° and it is approximately 2 meters high.
