The GYS PROTIG 161 DC welder is a compact and versatile model , designed for high-quality welding on mild and stainless steels.
Thanks to the TIG Lift & HF DC inverter technology, this machine guarantees optimum arc control and efficient current management in all working positions.
It is suitable for machining on various ferrous metals , including copper alloys , thanks to the pulsed TIG DC function , which allows the temperature of the melting bath to be kept under control , minimizing the deformation of the parts.
The device is equipped with a dual starting mode, HF non-contact or LIFT with contact, which allows use in electrosensitive environments .
In addition, the SPOT function enables quick and precise welding on thin sheet metal.
The control system offers three types of torch management buttons (2T, 4T, 4T LOG) and automatic torch detection , making it compatible with different types of torches, including reed and dual-button torches.
This welder is also ideal for use with basic and useful electrodes up to a diameter of 4 mm, thanks to the integrated MMA mode.
Additional features include anti-sticking, which reduces the risk of electrode sticking, and hot start, which facilitates priming.
Finally, the device is designed to withstand harsh conditions, with a reinforced housing, surge protection of up to 400 V and a low weight of only 7.5 kg.
Distinctive features:
- DC TIG and pulsed DC TIG welding mode.
- SPOT function for welding on thin sheet metal.
- Non-contact HF or LIFT start .
- MMA mode for basic and rutile electrodes.
- Store 10 programs for each welding process.
