The OPTIMA ME 66T snow blower is a heavy-duty product thanks to the air-cooled 277 cc 4-stroke SnowThorX 80 engine which is able to work on large areas also in severe weather conditions. The roller caterpillar band and the different working positions make this snow blower very steady and efficient.

It si equipped with electric start. The engine can be directly connected to the power line. It isn't provided with battery since the very low temperatures in which it uses to work would ruin them in a very short time. In fact, batteries won't stand the fast temperture changes.

The MTD OPTIMA ME 66T snow blower is equipped with a 4-stroke 277 cc SnowThorX80 OHV air-cooled engine with overhead valves and aluminium cylinder.

The engine is winterized, which means that it is equipped with a special cover in order to protect the most breakable component parts subjected to cold weather and to protect the engine in case of sudden drop in temperatures. Therefore, the engine is adapted for work in low temperatures.

Technical features:

As the snow blower has an electric start, is possible to connect it to your home electric line. It is not supplied with batteries as the low temperatures can quickly damage them. Batteries suffer jumps in temperature. Winterized engines like this one aren't provided with air filter as, working in environments with low temperatures and snow, this last can create humidity that could freeze damaging the air filter and causing problems to the machine.

The correct term would be "Commercial” Power, meaning the standard definition used until a few years ago by all well-known engine manufacturers.

It corresponds to the real power of the crankshaft. This is the power indicated as official in the engine instructions manual.

Compared to standard track drives with 2 rollers, this track drive with 3 rollers offers an advanced system to run on unmade or earth roads or on steep slopes and provide you with the ability to handle all manner of surfaces.

The steel track rollers positioned on the bottom guarantee added grip on the surface.

In standard track drives, with only two rollers, the track system is very rigid because the rollers are very close.

This special system can grip very easily on any surface.

Moreover, is very easy to attempt maintenance. You can easily adjust the tensioning by means of the outer tensioning system on the rear steel wheel.

Focus on the 2 threaded rods placed inside the track, one on the right and one on the left side.

The discharge chute is adjustable by means of controls located on the ground base. Also the deflector can be adjusted.

Auger screw housing width of 66 cm and height of 53 cm.

The professional auger unit provided has an advanced and toothed steel auger unit. This structure is best suited to churn up even the thickest snow.

The shear bolts protect the auger gearbox.

Therefore, they react to stones or other obstacles by automatically unhooked from the gearbox.

Two-stage system

The snow is fed into the housing by the ribbon auger and is then discharged away through the discharge chute by a high-speed fan impeller.

Adjustable skid shoes
They allow working on any surface, from smooth to rough surfaces (adjust the working height by means of the skid shoes). It can also work over gravel surfaces. The advantage of the plastic skid shoes is that they do not scratch the ground surface.

You can set 3 different working assets to takle each situation.

Transport asset: it lifts the auger in order to make transport easier.

Normal asset: the auger housing touches the ground.

Snow thrower asset with very thick snow: the auger faces downwards. In this way the auger will dig snow out.

Adjust the working assets by means of the dedicated pedal on the bottom, just in front of your feet.

Drive speed control lever:

6 forward speed and s reverse speed.

Power-assisted steering system: it allows disconnecting the traction drive from the wheels by means of the red lever. It makes your snow thrower easy to steer and maneuver.

Upper lever on the right side: it stops the forward and the reverse movement of the machine, independently from the selected speed. For safety reasons, the machine will stop automatically releasing the lever.

Upper lever on the left side: it controls the auger screw and the impeller fan (it controls both simultaneously).

Discharge chute is adjustable by means of the electric controls on the panel.
