MTD Smart 46 PO / N  Self-Propelled Lawn Mower - ThorX 35 OHV Engine

The MTD Smart 46 PO / N lawn mower is equipped with a powerful and reliable MTD ThorX 35 OHV engine with a power rating of 2.5HP and 79 cc, along with other features that make it the best purchase for its price.

The cutting height can be adjusted in seven different positions, from a minimum of 25 mm to a maximum of 75 mm.

It is equipped with a large 60 L rear grass collection bag. It has 180 mm front wheels and 250 mm rear wheels.

The Smart 46 PO / N allows three types of cutting:

• Grass collection system: 60 L grass collector
• Rear discharge
• Side discharge with deflector included

Thanks to the 46 cm cutting width and the features mentioned above, this lawn mower is suitable for areas up to 600 s.q. m.

MTD ThorX 35 OHV is an air cooled 4-stroke petrol engine with overhead valve.

It features 79 cc, 1.5 kW and 2800 rpm.

Very easy to start thanks to the primer and comfortable recoil starting.

Thanks to its good build quality and large fuel tank, this engine guarantees excellent reliability, low fuel consumption and a great running time.

46 cm useful blade cutting width

Universal hardened steel blade, suitable for all the cutting systems the lawn mower is equipped with.

The steel housing gives this machine a high strength combined with a great manoeuvrability.

This lawn mower is provided with 7 different cutting height adjustments from 25 mm to 75 mm. The heights are adjustable by means of a single lever on the rear wheels.

To adjust the height, simply move the lever

GRASS COLLECTION SYSTEM

The lawn mower is equipped with a large 60 L canvas grass collector, easy to remove and empty.

The net flexibility allows easy emptying the grass collector when full.

Comfortable handle on the upper side of the grass collector in order to facilitate the collector removal.

REAR DISCHARGE SYSTEM
This system allows mowing grass without using the grass collector, discharging the grass clippings directly from the back of the lawn mower.

Simply remove the grass collector, leaving the rear discharge opened.

MULCHING CUTTING SYSTEM:

This system allows cutting grass without catching it inside the collector, and crushing the clippings into a fine powder before dropping them on the lawn.

How to convert the lawn mower for the mulching cutting system:

• Open the grass collector
• Enter the mulching plug supplied
• Lower the rear deflector to operate the mulching cutting system.

MAIN SPECIFICATIONS OF THE MULCHING CUTTING SYSTEM:
This grass mowing system allows crushing grass clippings and dropping them on the ground. The resulting grass particles are so small, they will be barely noticeable on the lawn. This eliminates the problem of its disposal (reducing any effort and shortening the time-saving). Moreover, grass clippings will break down into nutrients and water for the lawn (grass is 80% water) and will thus ensure a perfectly balanced biological cycle. However, it is worth remembering that, to ensure the greatest mulching results, the lawn should be irrigated and the grass needs cutting at least once a week.
