SM 5 INOX 1Hp heavy-duty tabletop sauce maker

The 1Hp heavy-duty SM 5 INOX sauce maker is a tomato processing machine for making “passata” or tomato sauce. This machine was designed to be operated on top of a table.

The machine body, the lock ring and the protectve casing are made of food-grade die-cast polished aluminium. Other components, such as the screen (filter), hopper, chute and chute shield are made of stainless steel.

This tomato press is equipped with an asynchronous electric motor. Motor power supply: 230V. Featuring a watertight switch. The SM 5 INOX 1Hp heavy-duty sauce maker is compliant with the Machinery Directive 89/392 and it is suitable for professionals and particularly demanding hobbyists.

The heavy-duty SM 5 INOX has a 250 Kg/h hourly production.

Motor and transmission

This machine is equipped with a single-phase asynchronous electric motor. Motor power: 230 V. Maximum developed power: 0,5 Hp. The motor is mounted on a small metal frame with vibration-damping rubber mounts.

The drive shaft is made of F37 steel and it is not connected directly to the worm screw. In fact, there is a transmission component between the two which also has the purpose of reducing motor revolutions, thus optimising the machine performances.

This nylon gear motor is very sturdy and robust.

The motor features a watertight switch

All of the machine components are made in Italy.

WARNING: this product is made entirely with food-safe materials, however its internal components do not undergo cleaning before it gets distributed. When you start using it, we recommend crushing 2 kg of tomatoes and throwing them out afterwards to ensure the inside of the machine is perfectly clean and remove any debris deriving from the manufacturing process (tiny plastic fragments, metal or tin).

Machine body and components

This tomato press model is called SM 5 INOX because all of its main components are made of AISI 304 stainless steel. The machine body, lock ring and gearmotor protective casing are made by moulding UNI 50 die-cast aluminium.

The pestle is made of food-grade HP Polyethylene.

The worm screw is made of food-safe acetal resin.
