The different plucker machines accessories gathered in the category are tools used to perform correctly the plucking procedure.
The plumage removing procedure of poultry and other animals, is made through the use of products called plucker machines, tools equipped with plastic picker sticks and a basket with a rotatory motion, able to remove the majority of animals’ plumage.
In order to carry out this procedure and achieve optimal results, there is a preparatory stage, where electric stunners, bleeding cones and wetting tanks are used.
The electric stunners are used to stun the animal before its final killing. They are used to supply power to the electrode clamp and allow very precise current regulation, also thanks to the graphic display where the processing parameters can be adjusted.
The bleeding cones are used for the stage following the stunning and the killing of the animal,i.e. the exsanguination.
The employment of these special cones facilitates and speeds up the killing phase by avoiding the breaking of wings and the easy collection of blood.
They can be of different sizes in order to accommodate larger or smaller animals, and it is very important to clean them thoroughly once the procedure is finished.
The wetting tanks are employed for the plucking last stage, the soaking process.
The tanks consist of containers usually used in industry; these are usually filled with water, but also with detergent solution depending on the purpose. The animals have to be immersed in these tanks, with the liquid measuring no more than 60°. Just leave them submerged for a few tens of seconds until the plumage can be easily removed.
It is also important to clean these tanks thoroughly once the procedures are finished.
