The Greenworks GD48SC36 battery-powered lawn scarifier and raker is lightweight and easy to use, ideal for the care of your garden.

The progressive DigiPro Brushless motor drastically reduces vibration and requires low maintenance.

It is equipped with rotor with blades and springs:

The rotor with 16 blades made of steel and mounted on ball bearings scarifies the soil, acting vertically and deeply thanks to its blades, improving oxygenation, drainage and nutrient uptake.

Why use a lawn scarifier:

• Over time, turfs tend to create a layer of felt that prevent the oxygenation of the soil with the consequent suffering of the lawn.
• It is advisable to use the lawn scarifier to remove the felt layer and create grooves on the ground that will facilitate contact with air, fertilisation and lawn reinforcement.

The rotor with springs combs the lawn, removing the layer of felt and moss that has formed and preventing regrowth.

The 4 wheels ensure a safe support during use. The large wheels provide greater manoeuvrability even on uneven terrains.

It can operate with collection bag or rear discharge system; allowing you to choose whether to collect debris or release them on the ground.

Battery and charger included

WARNING:

Before the aeration process, the garden MUST BE STRICTLY abundantly watered, in order to prevent dust from entering inside the electric motor and cause damage. Furthermore, damp soil is much softer and facilitates this type of work, preventing problems with the transmission (belts, pulleys, etc.)

* The right time for this operation is Spring, after the first mowing and depending on the area and climate (generally around March/April). For a perfect lawn care, it is highly recommended to repeat the operation in Autumn as well, thus removing the harder moss.

This lawn scarifier is equipped with 2 different types of rotors, easily interchangeable:

Rotor with springs: recommended for the “aeration process”, it consists of a sturdy roller fitted with springs.

With this rotor, the turf is combed lightly thanks to its steel spring design, which pinches and pulls away the felt and moss (also preventing regrowth).

Rotor with blades: recommended for the “scarifying process”. It consists of a steel roller fitted with 16 fixed blades.

This rotor type allows a more intensive lawn care thanks to the possibility to work the soil in depth. Indeed, the sharpened 16 blades penetrate vertically the lawn allowing the complete removal of moss, felt and weeds.
This feature allows the lawn to regenerate by improving oxygenation, drainage and nutrient uptake. * The right time for this operation is Spring, after the first mowing and depending on the area and climate (generally around March/April). Quick rotor replacement system:

• Remove the rotor
• Replace the rotor by positioning the bearing in the proper housing
• Lock the rotor retainer

The rotor can be replaced WITHOUT using any extra tool.

The centralised working depth adjustment makes this machine extremely easy to use and intuitive.

The machine is equipped with a working depth adjustment lever, offering many working positions:

• -12 mm
• -8 mm
• -5 mm
• -0 mm
• 5 mm

This machine can be used both with collection bag or rear discharge.

The 45 L bag for collecting debris is provided on standard equipment.

Operating without the collection bag: with the proper rear deflector, the torn old felt and aeration residues are deposited on the ground.

Focus on the convenient handle for removing the collection bag.

LONGER LIFE: up to 3 times higher than nickel–cadmium batteries, reducing the need to recharge during long periods of use.

FULL CHARGE FOR THE ENTIRE BATTERY LIFE: the charge of the lithium-ion batteries does not fade. Unlike nickel-cadmium batteries, which power gradually decreases, lithium-ion batteries’ cells maintain constant power throughout the entire cycle. The same charge for the entire cycle without reducing the motor speed. The battery is running at full power until its complete exhaustion.

LONGER CHARGE LIFE: lithium-Ion batteries last 3–4 times longer than traditional Nickel-Cadmium batteries and their power storage lasts longer so they lose less power. Lithium-ion batteries can be recharged up to 2000 times!

LIGHTWEIGHT: lithium-ion batteries have the best power-weight rate. They weigh 1/3 of nickel-cadmium ones.

ENVIRONMENTALLY-FRIENDLY: lithium-ion battery-powered tools are recyclable and are produced without heavy metals.

NO MEMORY EFFECT: lithium-ion batteries can be recharged at any time without negative memory effect. Indeed, they don't fail to provide maximum power even after hundreds of charge cycles.
Few minutes of charge are enough to complete the work.

LOW DISCHARGE RATE: low discharge rate (up to 5 times lower than nickel-cadmium batteries) so your machine will be ready to use even after months of storage.
