Thanks to its highly resistant steel blades, this lawn scarifier penetrates the soil by making fairly large and deep holes in the ground, about 15 cm apart both laterally and perpendicularly. This will allow water, light and nutrients to reach the grass roots in depth. The aim is to achieve a much more fertile soil and higher lawn quality in the long term.
When the lever is moved into the working position, the discs with spikes will drop to a much lower level than the support wheels, thus penetrating the soil deeply.
It is essential for the correct functioning of this raker to place weights (e.g. bricks) on the upper surface so that this accessory reaches the necessary mass for the spikes to penetrate deeply. The working height adjustment is however determined by the side wheels that make the scarifier penetrate only a certain depth.
Also suitable for working on harder soils.
