The Zanon Murcielago R shaker is currently the most powerful and high-performance model offered by Zanon. With a power of 600W and a voltage of 50.4V, it is able to offer high performance when shaking olives. The presence of a telescopic pole included in the package makes it easy to reach even the tallest olives, ensuring a high harvesting capacity.

An important aspect of this version is the use of a high-power lithium battery, which guarantees satisfactory autonomy during use. This contributes to making the Zanon Murcielago R AL300 Lithium harvester practical and comfortable to use.

The harvester is equipped with 4+4 carbon fibre rods, 32 cm long, that can be easily replaced. These rods are designed to simulate the opposite inclined movement, imitating the flight of the Murcielago R bat and reducing the throwing of olives during the beating process.

Another advantage of this harvester is the self-cleaning mechanical system, which simplifies use thanks to the leaf ejection holes. Furthermore, the device uses the principle of high-frequency oscillations to simulate the flight of a bat, benefiting from the lightness, speed and silence of such movement.

The engine is located inside the harvester head, providing good protection from external agents and contributing to its longevity. The DRIVE 750. S lithium battery powers the engine efficiently.

Head and Prong Motion

The ZANON olive harvester has 4+4 quick-replacement carbon harvesting rods on the head.

The arms therefore carry a total of 8 carbon fiber prongs with easy replacement, the entire propulsion and transmission unit is hermetically sealed, without any possibility of penetration of external agents inside. This ensures continuity of operation and an almost non-existent maintenance. The prongs are more than 32 cm to allow you to enter deep into the plant.

When using a harvester, the choice of battery depends on the practical needs of the user. The main differences between a base-mounted battery and a backpack battery concern freedom of movement and autonomy. The base-mounted battery is more manoeuvrable and lighter, but offers reduced autonomy. In contrast, the backpack provides longer working sessions, although it can be bulkier in tight spaces.

Base-mounted lithium-ion batteries offer greater freedom of movement. The lack of cumbersome cables improves agility when working between trees, making the harvester easier to manoeuvre. They are generally lighter than the backpak once, reducing operator fatigue, and make it easier to transport the device. In addition, handling is more intuitive, not requiring additional equipment such as a backpack. On the downside, however, they have a very limited autonomy and often cannot do a full day's work on their own.

On the other hand, lithium backpack batteries, while adding a certain amount of bulk, allow for greater energy capacity, extending the operational life of the harvester without the need for frequent recharging or battery changes. Their higher capacity allows long working sessions without interruption. In addition, shifting the weight of the battery to the back reduces the direct load on the arm and body, better balancing the overall weight of the equipment.

However, backpack batteries can be less ergonomic and uncomfortable in tight spaces or during quick movements between trees, and the presence of the cable can be an obstacle or obstruction during operation. Finally, the constant carrying of the backpack may cause more fatigue in the long run than an integrated solution in the product base.
