The Bomet UPUS potato harvester (with single-row) is a machine equipped with a 3-point suspension system and driven by the tractor PTO shaft. The ridge with potatoes is dug by a properly arranged plowshare, then passed to a sieving belt.
As a result of the movement and shaking of the belt, the ridge is crushed and the soil pass through the conveyor bars while the plant tuber / root dug is moved towards the back of the machine.
A properly profiled chute grate at the back of the digger directs the dug potatoes onto the ridge behind the digger. The chute grate allows positioning potato tubers so as to limit damages caused by the tractor tires during the next operation.
The potato harvester is suitable for tractors equipped with a II category 3-point hitch.
The machine is equipped with metal wheels featuring digging depth adjustment system.
This potato digger is designed to make harvesting easy and immediate, as only one operation is necessary to complete collection of potatoes on the plot.
The required tractor power is 30 to 60 HP
