The FIAC Cosmos 225 GM 14 coaxial electric air compressor is characterised by the pumping unit directly mounted on the rotating shaft of the electric motor.
This constructive solution allows to reduce the dimensions and eliminates the power loss caused by the transmission parts. The plastic housing that wraps around the pumping compressor unit, conveys air to cool the pumping unit cylinder head and increases the duration of the mechanical parts and the efficiency of the entire unit in terms of amount of air produced, as well as preventing accidental contact with all the moving parts.
The motor features a cast aluminium cylinder head and delivers a maximum power of 2 Hp.
The pumping unit is made of cast aluminium, while the cylinder is made of cast iron.
The lubrication system, known as "splash” system, ensures the circulation of the oil within the pumping unit
