The potato digger is an tractor-mounted agricultural machine and is used to harvest potatoes.
Vibrating models are the most efficient, as they can extract about 98% of the tubers, significantly shortening harvesting time.
They are called vibrating, precisely because they are characterised by a vibrating table that removes soil residues. The vibrating potato digger with side discharge is designed to dig up potatoes, but also beets or carrots.
The operation of this category of potato digger is quite simple: two disc coulters cut the plants, while sieves, moving in opposite directions, remove the soil leaving the tubers in narrow rows along the machine.
In this way, harvesting is much easier and the potato suffers minimal damage.
The tractor-driven potato harvester is so widely used for various agricultural operations, because it allows a great simplification of work, since in a single passage all the tubers in the area are harvested.
It can also work on sloping areas, on several types of soil, depending on the attachments fitted and with adjustable digging depths.
