Wortex Grizzly - Towable petrol garden shredder - Loncin 420cc with electric start

The Wortex Grizzly petrol-powered shredder is designed for those who need to maintain their green areas and require a machine capable of processing logs and branches, even of large diameter.

Thanks to its large hopper, this wood chipper can shred branches with a maximum diameter of 100 mm.

Garden shredders allow reducing weeds and twigs in an easy to handle and suitable size for composting. The tiny wood chips crushing also reduces the time required for the decomposition of the latter.

This model is equipped with a central rotor with blades + hammers (2+10) and a large, fully hydraulic, log self-feeding roller. Combined together, they also allow shredding for longer time with minimal effort.

The large steel hopper can process even very bulky branches and leaves without pre-shredding them. Thus, it also has a large capacity that allows entering large volumes of material at a time.

Warning: Like all wood chippers and garden shredders, it is not suited for shredding grass, leaves, pine needles, etc. (it is intended to shred branches, but it can also grind leaves, needles and others)

Shredders intended use:
- The shredder must grind only green branches and not dried ones (which would limit its shredding capacity and lead to rapid deterioration of the blades);
- The branches must be preferably long, smooth and not knobby (otherwise the cutting diameter would be reduced);
- The branch cutting diameter indicated is the maximum, so it is advised not to shred larger branches. In this case it would be better to purchase a shredder with a larger branch cutting diameter;
- The cutting diameter can vary according to the amounts of wood (e.g: oak, olive, plum and peach are hardwoods and can reduce the cutting capacity of the wood chipper)

The only one of the category with intermediate double belt drive transmission

. This feature gives high sturdiness to the unit, protecting both the engine and all the shredding system from every possible internal hit or kickback.

Higher durability over time compared to the standard system of all the manufacturers of petrol-powered machineries, the transmission is directly connected to the shredding cutting system.

In the event of a locked rotor caused for example by a big branch, stones, etc ... it is not likely that the the transmission shaft will break and that you will have to throw away the engine, but you will have a slip or at least breakage of the intermediate strap.

The machine is equipped with automatic log feeding.

The hopper can be opened by unscrewing the special bolts present at the shredder opening.

Everything is managed by a control panel that manages the speed regulation: therefore according to the thickness of the branches to be shredded, it will be sufficient to adjust the rotation speed to optimize the cut.

This system makes it possible to greatly simplify and speed up the processing operations.

The wood chipper is equipped with anti-jam system: in the event that the rotor gets over-stressed or it stops while processing the material, the Operator needs to move the lever on the feeding hopper.

E-STOP system, in case of emergency, press the red alarm button placed above the hopper: the cutting roller will be immediately stopped. Regardless of the position of the control bar, the engine will also be stopped. (Once the machine has stopped, wait for it to complete the shutdown process before resuming any other work operations)

This petrol garden shredder is equipped with a roller for the automatic branch feeding, which is managed by a hydraulic pump.

The anti-clogging system can be used by means of a special lever located under the loading hopper. Indeed, this lever manages the engine hydraulic valves and it reverses the rotor direction of rotation, thus enabling it to be unlocked. It is also possible to select a rotation speed of the roller.

The central rotor is composed of:

• Two cutting blades of large dimensions: they carry out a pre-processing step, cutting the material present in the hopper into smaller-sized fragments
• Finally, the rotor is also equipped with ten cutting hammers (or blades) in hardened steel, which rotate at high speed: they perform a centrifugal operation, reducing the branches into small fragments

The shredder can be conveniently opened to carry out any type of maintenance on the rotor in complete safety thanks to the safety locks on the opening points.

Provided with 360° rotating discharge chute.

Simply unscrew the bolts placed in the joint ring and move it as desired.

Thanks to its height, the discharge chute allows you to throw out the wood chips straight into a tractor trailer or truck.

The inclination of the discharge chute is also adjustable in order to control the distance of the discharged shredded material.

The large front supporting foot gives stability to the machine. This allows to distribute the weight over a greater surface area, thus avoiding that the wood chipper from plunging in soft grounds.

The shredder was equipped with double grip to facilitate the moving operations.

The wood chipper is also equipped with large pneaumatic wheels that allow easy transport.
